Has a self clean mechanism which I?? sure will keep it going longer than my previous ones. Per directions it says to use with half distilled and half bottled or tap if you have hard water, which we do here.

I have used this iron and a quality ironing board, for a couple weeks now. And both the ironing board and this iron, are both fantastic. This is a huge iron in size – gets super hot OBVIOUSLY and steams your shirts….
sometimes a couple drops of water drips out even though you didnt push the button to let water out..ah well no biggie….I am definitely happy with this iron and fully recommend this iron and a good ironing board.

I have owned three different Rowenta irons over the last few years. The last Rowenta iron was the model DW9280 consider a professional iron with the force steam system. The Rowenta irons was return because I had problems with the steam system on both. The Pur Steam (PSSI-01) iron is 1700 watts and the Rowenta was 1800 watts using the irons you couldn’t tell the different. The Rowenta iron was two times the cost. The Pur Steam iron force steam system worked much better, it held more water than the Rowneta iron, you can iron many more items without having to stop and refill the iron, the vertical steam system work just as well also, The Pur Steam is also consider a professional iron. I am much happier with the Pur Steam iron for the cost and with the manner in which it preformed. I will probably never go back to the Rowenta irons.

I have been a Rowenta user for years and years, then I got a lemon of a product and the compay & customer service were worse than helpful. So I decided to try something else, and Wow! This iron is great! I am a quilter and occasionally sew for $$$ so I am pretty picky about my iron. I use it a lot! This thing heats up fast, and the burst of steam would knock a wrinkle off an elephant’s hide! So far I am totally impressed. The only thing that is kind of awkward is the little lid for the water tank–it doesn’t stay open by itself, but I can deal with that. Hoping it stays this awesome for the long haul!

I had my Rowena iron for a long time, and it finally died. So I thought I’d try this one. The first one was broken at the water inlet, so I sent it back and got another one. This one worked pretty well. I had to turn it up most of the time – seems most of the fabric I use needed a hotter iron. The little cup that came with it wasn’t enough to fill it up the first time – the iron holds a lot of water which is great. I like this one.

I like the fact the water tank is bigger on this iron opposed to other irons I have had. The cord is long. The initial burst of steam is good, however continuously it is not strong at all. So far have not had any leakage issues when iron is warming up. It is a heavier iron so it presses well.

I like how large the digital screen is. It works good. It heats up very fast. It feels very durable. Not extremely light but not extremely heavy either. The only thing I found a little inconvenient is the cord isn?? very long and you have to wrap up the cord. It isn?? retractable but I knew this before I purchased it. I have used Rowenta irons for decades, however, the last two irons leaked water immediately (one was returned and one just thrown away) so I am thinking the manufacturer has cheapened the water containment plastic. After two disastrous purchases, I decided to buy a Pur Steam iron and it has been a God send. I am a fan of cotton and I iron most everything; sheets, kitchen towels and clothing. The only criticism I have for this iron is that there is no way to tell exactly what heat setting you have the dial set on. It is much less expensive than the Rowenta iron and is lighter which makes it easier on my shoulder and arm. So far I have had absolutely NO WATER LEAKS – Hurray!

I love this iron because #1 It heats up super fast! About 30 seconds and it is ready to go. #2 It is super hot! I love a hot steam iron and this one delivers. One swipe of the fabric and that is pretty much it. #3 The water reservoir is large so no constant refilling. #4. Good safety features. The minus would be that the dial is bit hard to read and I always wish the water gauge was clear and not a dark plastic. It is also a bit heavier than I was used to, but now I would not go back to the Sharp iron I owned previously. (And I loved that iron, also.)

This iron does not disappoint. Lots of steam, and not very heavy. I love it definitely even better than my Shark iron. The steam is powerful and directed at the right places. You don’t have to use distilled water either. The cord is even longer than most other irons I’ve had. The only thing I wish is that you could see the temperature settings better on the round dial behind the handle, other than that, my ironing is taking less time with this baby! Full steam ahead!

I finally have had a chance to use this iron and I found I made the right choice in purchasing this particular iron. My last iron was just your everyday standard and it caused more wrinkles than it removed.
I selected 5 stars for “light weight” but this iron let’s you know it’s not your everyday iron as soon as you pick it up.
I like the plate pattern because it delivers steam at the right points. I really like the temp controls because it’s displayed right on top and let’s you know heating or at temp.
This iron takes no time in reaching temperature and it just glides over the material.
I wondered when I first began looking for a new iron if there really was a difference between what I had and what I wanted. I chose this iron by pictures with hopes it would be what I hoped for. When I took it out of the box I could immediately tell it was not your standard iron and after using it, I was glad I made the purchase. When I take the time to iron any of my clothing I do not want to waste my time wrangling the iron like when it’s set for steam and it spits droplets instead. Or running out of water after a single garment.

If your looking for a good iron and like me, have to decide by pictures, I’m sure there are a few that are acceptable. But I can tell you purchasing this iron will not disappoint. It is what the description says it is and when it’s in your hand you can tell you made the right choice. It’s as close to professional as I need to get and I’m satisfied with my decision.

Same day delivery in my area so that was great. Unboxed it and used it on the “JEANS” setting -which is a high heat cotton/linen-type setting for many irons. Finished ironing, unplugged it, and set it on my bathroom counter to “cool down” before putting it away in my linen cabinet. Meanwhile, 45 minutes after unplugging, it’s still hot to the touch…so much so that I couldn’t keep my hand against the iron. I didn’t get burned or anything, and I have a pretty high threshold for hot water and hot things, generally speaking, but this iron was too hot in my opinion after 45 minutes of cooling time. The jury is still out for me. I’m not sure if I’ll keep this iron or return it. I like an iron that heats up fast, does a great job, and cools down reasonably fast…like within 20 minutes -is at least warm to the touch- and I can safely put it away. Just about everything else is outstanding for the price. It’s attractive, well-designed, ergo-friendly…nice grip ‘n all, solid materials, and comes with a long power cord (not retractable). Other than the excessive cool-down time, the only thing I wasn’t crazy about was the size. It feels and appears like a huge iron. I’m a big guy with big hands at 6’ 3″ and this thing felt like a “LARGE” small appliance. It’s too tall to fit on certain cabinet shelves so I need to buy a hanging rack now.

I was really skeptical about buying this. It proved me wrong in all way. I use this daily so far nothing has stuck to the bottom and hasnt burned any material. Also ive been using this for a while and wrapping the cord around it has torn at all which is something that happens often. Super easy to control temperture with 2 easy buttons. Needed a new iron, yet I purchased this one because it had vertical steam function. Works much better than my old steamer. For regular ironing, wrinkles fall out of the clothes easily without steam or going over several times. If using to steam curtains, you may need to refill water. Be careful when using self clean function because the steam is very hot. Highly recommend.

It heats up rapidly and accurately. The controls took a bit of getting used to. Steam is under the handle. The temp is set using buttons on the sides of the display. The water reservoir is huge. I haven’t had to fill it in weeks! The steam is there just when I need it in a quick burst. My Rowenta spewed steam constantly and I was filling the tank every couple of days. There are times when you don’t want steam or simply want a spray of water. The PurSteam does just what I want it to! The PurSteam is heavy enough to tame nasty wrinkles. I’m very impressed with the features at a fraction of the cost of name brands.

After years of suffering in the hands of several leaky models of the famous German steam iron maker, I decided to try out this cheaper than usual iron. Well, it has been a pleasant surprise.
This iron does not leak. It is built for steam – has a large water reservoir and when you activate the steam burst you feel the iron lift. The temperature control works well. Unlike the usual temperature settings with a rotary dial, it has a couple of buttons on the side. As a result of this design and likely as a safety precaution, it will not start at the level it was set previously.
The handle is not as ergonomic as it could be, though. It is not very pleasant to hold.

The technology of things today as even compared to 20 years ago is very evident. I’ve gone through SEVERAL irons throughout the years. For this price point, they all have pretty much had the same lifespan and quality issues. Even the “better” brands die out or stop getting as hot as they did when you first had them.
Upon this iron’s arrival, I knew this was of better quality for this priced iron. The material is more durable, doesn’t film flimsy (or like cheap hollow plastic), and has a good feel/weight in hand. All the features work and the screen stays on which is also easy to read with the larger letters (and backlight). Since I use this more like a press vs steam iron, this does everything I would require to be named good in my book. The steam part well but I’m never really impressed with how the water spits out of any of the irons I’ve tried (so I’m biased).
The win for this iron is the design, the lighted digital led screen, the beeping prompts, how well it holds in your hands, and the consistent heated temperatures this iron reaches. If I had to order again (in the future), I would definitely consider the PurSteam brand again. This is by far one of the best (if not the best) iron I’ve owned for under $35. I would recommend and would even gift. I hope this review helps 🙂

I purchased this iron over 2 years ago and I am VERY satisfied with the use of it thus far. The Auto Shut Off, Variable Temperature Control and Burst of Steam are great features. When I don’t have time to iron on a board, I use the Vertical Steam just to get out a few wrinkles with the heat distribution on the soleplate, which is done in seconds. When I do have time to do regular ironing, it’s heavy enough to get out all wrinkles, and press creases on pants. It’s equipped with anti-calc to prevent mineral build up. I am glad I purchased this iron that lasts and still maintains its use.

Of the steam irons I’ve purchased…and returned…recently, this one is a keeper. It’s heavy and a bit unwieldy, since the cord does not move as easily as it might and the ergonomics need more attention. The sole plate glides easily over every fabric I’ve tried it on, and, as I headlined, the iron generates a generous volume of steam, which is the main function of a…STEAM iron. Thus far, the electronics are functioning properly, though an electro-mechanical system of controls would be, I suspect, more reliable and durable. Only time and use will reveal that. For the price, I doubt there’s another choice of equal, certainly not better, quality and value. As experience dictates, should there be significant problems, or not, I’ll add to this review, but, at this juncture, I endorse this appliance.

This iron just arrived this week, but I’ve already caught up on my ironing after letting the pile grow for a couple of months. My last iron was fickle. It worked when it wanted to, which wasn’t often. It was also a lightweight–it felt like it wasn’t committed to the work. The lightness of that iron might have been a selling point to some, but not to me. It’s worth calling ironing ‘arm day’ in order to see wrinkles disappear. It’s too soon to definitively say, but this iron feels like a winner. I like the weight and I definitely like the steam output. The dial being hidden under the handle is a negative, but it didn’t keep me from using the iron so I’ll ignore that inconvenience. I’ll update as time goes by if my opinion changes, but my early rating is a 5/5.

There were mixed reviews for this specific model, but I took a chance and bought it. I just now opened up, inspected it and plugged it in to use it. Instantly, I knew this was a good one!! It has an LED light with options of what material you’ll be ironing. It comes with a cup to put the water in. It’s sturdy not too heavy. So yes!! Buy it!! Love it!! Oh! and there is little note inside stating if it has water marks that because they test it out before packaging. I bought this iron because it was inexpensive and I needed an iron to hold me over until I received my Rowenta DW8080 back from the repair place. (It leaked profusely after 6 months of use.) The Pur iron is the best iron I have ever had. I solely use irons for quilting but I?? sure it would work great for any type of ironing. It heats up well, flattens my pieces quickly and uses water from my sink. The water reservoir is extra large and you can easily see the level of water when filling it up. It has good safety features and is easy to use. I highly recommend this iron. I wish I would have purchased this one before the pricey Rowenta.

I bought this iron in early January 2021 to replace my Shark Professional that I’ve had for 15 years. The Shark was a great iron, I’ve used this one for 5 months now, and this one is better. It’s lighter, holds more water, heats up faster, and cools down faster. It never beeps, the cord is only 2 feet shorter than my old Shark, it’s much easier to fill with water, it has twice as many heat settings, and the digital display is pretty cool. I use heat settings one step hotter than the recommended one and it does a great job. I iron in the middle of my living room and use the same dedicated extension cord as I used before. I repaired the power cord on my Shark and gave it to my lady friend. She loves it. I only use distilled water in my irons.

I’ve been putting up with leaking Rowenta irons for nearly all my 60+ years of married life. The Pur Iron is a game changer. THIS is a steam iron. THIS iron got me through my ironing in record time. THIS iron was not a problem for my arthritic hand. The weight is ideal; I had no difficulty turning the temperature control. OK, the tiny plastic container meant to fill the iron would require about 3 fill-ups to fill the iron. Why bother including this? The only thing missing from this iron is the bit on the cord that would allow the cord to lock to itself when it is wrapped around the iron – but I am not complaining. This iron is the real deal!

This is one review that I am very happy to write! I was looking for an iron for quilting and applique so I wanted something that could get very hot and had alot of steam. I was looking at more expensive ones when I saw this one. I liked the fact it is made here and everything I read about it made me decide to give it a go. I am so glad I did! I have bought over 300 yards of linen since July. The lengths range anywhere from 2 yards to 15 yards, and in case of shrinkage, everything has to be washed and ironed before I can cut it and sew it. It takes 45 minutes to an hour to iron a 10 yard piece of 60″ wide linen and I usually wash two lengths at a time, so that means the iron is on for at least 2 hours just steaming its fool sole plate off. This iron really puts out the steam. So much so that I am constantly having to refill the water. It’s a really good iron though!

Just received this and used it only once. 3 steam settings are great! No spitting and lightweight for me. Wrinkles came out quickly. One thing I do miss and didn?? consider when purchased was that this iron ( unlike my old one) does nor have a retractable cord. Really miss that but I?? using a Velcro wrap on it. There?? a container to use for filling the iron with water included. Great for no dripping. It?? a small clear container and I kept losing it because it blended in. I put some colored tape stripes on it and now I can find it easily. I would recommend the iron.

Great Iron. The dial is a bit hard to read under the handle, otherwise everything works as it should. The steam function is really good. DO follow and read the directions and don’t use distilled water. A tiny bit heavy, but this is a heavy duty iron built (i hope) to last. On first use it heated up as stated it would, and ironed flannel shirts wonderfully. It shut down on it’s own when i didn’t return right away which is a huge plus.

This iron leaks while warming up as with all the other iron I’ve had but after the temperature sets the iron no longer leaks. I usually hold it away from my clothes for a few seconds until the leak stops. Again, I’m used to this so its not a deal breaker.

I love this Iron. I have gone through many irons before, this one is fantastic. Has some nice weight to it-to give your clothes a nice pressed look when ironing. The LCD screen is a nice feature to see the settings for the desired fabric, has a button on the sides of the handle to switch the setting back and forth vs the dial setting on some other irons. The heating time is pretty fast which is great for when you’re in rush for work or when you need to iron something quick. The handle has a nice feel, powerful burst of steam for stubborn wrinkles. One feature I do miss on some of my other irons is the retractable cord but this is fine and I am very pleased. If you do a lot of ironing and need a good strong iron this is a must-have for the price.

The iron had NOT been previously used ????there?? a sticker inside the box that states it has been previously tested and there may be water droplets. (no droplets on my iron) 2. Auto shut off is not 30 seconds but more like 5 minutes. Does not present a problem. 3. Water refill reservoir is somewhat hard to see but can be overcome by tilting the iron forward when filling with water.

I love too Iron and this is the BEST IRON I have ever owned in my Life I am 68 years old!! I even tried the Steaming where you hold it up and steam the wrinkles out of Exp: Men’s Suit it got the wrinkles out and refreshed it that was amazing!! The water reservoir holds a lot of water & that also is important. Yes it is Hard To see the Water Reservoir & they need to make that more visible but all in all I give this Iron a 10 Plus!

THIS IRON GETS HOT WHEN YOU PLUG IT IN TO THE WALL. IF YOU DON’T PLUG IT IN, IT WILL NOT GET HOT. IT MUST BE HOT TO WORK. YOU CAN CHECK HOW HOT IT IS BY TOUCHING THE BOTTOM OF THE IRON. IF YOU BURN YOURSELF , IT IS HOT. BE CAREFUL….

This is a fairly inexpensive iron, but works like a higher end iron. Has steam setting, which is great for taking wrinkles out of clothes. Has auto shut off for safety. I use this iron on clothes I don?? dry clean. Iron has multiple settings depending on the type of clothes you??e ironing. This is really a great iron

So I’ve been ironing since the early 60’s, so kind of consider myself an expert in irons as they come and go and fail over the years. This iron is nothing short of AMAZING!
I am also quite technologically savvy, so am loving the digital screen vs the old dials.
It doesn’t leak, heats up fast and accurately, and gets the most stubborn wrinkles out even without the steam burst or spray function. There is only one thing I would change if I were the manufacturer. As we all know, Red=Hot and Blue=Cold. The lighting on the screen is backwards. When it’s hot they screen is blue and when its idle and not in use it’s red. For use old farts that may not see things as well, maybe change that around. Other than that I think the iron and I will have a long and wrinkle free relationship……
Now about the wrinkles on my face…..any solutions for those?

I recently purchased the digital control model and wanted to gift my son with the same. I ordered this model by mistake. It has a rotary dial heat control which is exactly what I did NOT want. The digital push button control is soooo much more convenient. Other than that, I LOVE this brand
