I first purchased this about 4 years ago, and it has ran perfect the entire time. One day after work my roommate told me he dropped it and it would not shut off. I figured “well its a few years old now so I can just order another no biggie.” I then decided to try my best to shut it off through damage right? Wrong. I submerged this thing in a pot of water for 5 minutes and it refused to die. I then took it outside and threw it on the ground to try to break it? Absolutely had no effect on this thing. It took 4 different tries for me to finally give up and throw it away, where the battery ran for another 6 hours until it finally died. I will buy this product until I die because of how amazing that display of durability was to me. 10/10 recommend

This is my first Norelco trimmer, my older model ms battery just wouldn’t charge after 10 yrs. This new trimmer gives you many attachment heads for trimming long beards or small ones. I’ve used it about three times since I received it. I need to find my correct trimmer head to trim my mustache and goatee. Battery life is awesome still on first charge and still going strong. It’s a step up from my older trimmer. Instructions are good and shows different trim heads that u attach to trimmer head. Overall for the price and what u get you can actually cut someone’s hair if you have the knowledge.

I had a good laugh when I went to write the review and it asked for a video. I don’t think Philps Norelco wants my ugly face near their razors unless like Fred Flintstone I’m the before in the before and after.
Small but good motor. My last one was an Oster that lasted 50 years as it was my dad’s but it weighed almost 2 lbs had no battery had would just assume cut your lip off to trim the hair.
This has a strong motor ,light, easy to get into the crevasses my old face now has , battery lasts a good week of use on road trips. Charges fast and has attachments including one to stick up your nose to get the tree roots your grandmother warned would come if you stuck your finger in there. Works well on ear hair and although it won’t make me pretty it makes me presentable enough for the wife to go out to dinner with me.

I wanted to try a trimmer to help clean up my son’s haircut, and I did not want to spend much money if the product was not good. This trimmer was on sale and had a lot of good reviews, so I gave it a try. For the price I paid, this trimmer is well worth its price.
I have also used this trimmer at least once a week since I bought it in late November ’21. Battery life seems to be very good; it has only been charged once for three months.
I have small hands, and this device is effortless to handle. Switching the heads is very easy. The hair and beard trimming guards are also very easy to switch out.
The only downside is the storage bag that came with it. It feels very cheap and flimsy, but I am not reviewing the bag, just the trimmer, and its accessories.

I had one of these units before but lost two of the most-used trimmers. It was cheaper to just by a whole new unit then just the attachments plus shipping. That said, I love this. I’ve tried a few different units over the years to trim my mustache and this is the best. I usually prefer batteries I can change so I don’t have to worry about the rechargeable battery being dead when I need it most, but this battery seems to hold a charge for a long time.
One of the things I like is that it is the right size for a mustache. Some of the beard trimmers are kind of big to also do duty as a mustache trimmer. This one is just right for me.
There are additional “heads” for nose hair trimming and trimming the occasional stray hair on a face that also work very well. I couldn’t be happier.

It is too early to discuss battery life, as I’ve only had this for less than 10 days and used 3 times, w/o running the battery out. I did charge it overnight to get it back to full charge and ready to use another 3 or 4 times in the next couple weeks. Both the design and ease of use are fantastic. The trimmer fits the hand naturally and the textured cover makes it non-slippery and easy to hold on to during use. The attachment set is great and both face trimmers (full and narrow) work very well. The trimming blades have not pulled hair or caused the kind of scratches my previous trimmer did. The nose & ear hair trimmer is easy to attach and works well. I couldn’t be more pleased with every aspect of this product and the attachments that are included.

This was a replacement for an old Philips trimmer I had. Rather than being adjustable it comes with a range of interchangeable heads that are somewhat easily switched out. I only say that because the cutting head comes up and off if you don’t pull the trimmer off the right way. But once you get that down, not a problem. The set certainly has enough trimmer heads to satisfy any needs. It also comes with an extra blade head so once one becomes dull, you can switch out. But considering how long my previous Philips lasted, that could be a while. Ive had this for about a month now and it still works on the charge it came with. Still don’t need a recharge. Overall, trims great, easy to handle. Definitely recommend.

Seriously this clipper offers the best bang for the buck. It’s inexpensive and works great. I use it to trim my beard and other personal grooming. Bought one for my son too. In fact, my wife who’s a hairstylist uses this at work for trimming lines and sideburns after a haircut and loves it. Her old one died after being used daily for 2 years but they’re so inexpensive and easy to replace, there’s no point in her buying an expensive commercial quality clipper.

Very nice cutter and good battery life. The only problem was when trimming hair from skin that is super soft in an area where it tends to wrinkle. Then the lowest attachment to get a good trim can cut the skin and make it bleed. However, in most other places which are more common to be trimmed where the skin is inherently tighter and straighter, this closest-shaving attachment works fine. And with all the other attachments that are more raised up off the skin, cutting the skin is extremely unlikely to ever be encountered.

Have been buying Wahl beard trimmers for many years. Over the last five years I bought 3 Wahl replacement beard trimmers. The first operated well, and remains a good backup unit to this day. The other 2 lasted about a year each. After cleaning them and reassembling them, they both never worked quite right again. A total waste of money.
This Philips-Norelco unit is a winner, so far, and hopefully it will be for years to come. No issues whatsoever.

So this is neat; I received this trimmer on August 31st 2021 and am now charging it for the very first time on December 20th 2021. That’s four months on out of box charge. What I have to say about this is that this trimmer makes shaving my face a couple-of-minutes task, instead of longer. Meaning I use less battery. I use it for no longer than 2 or three minutes once a week to trim back my entire face. Not my eyebrows of course.
This little dude shaves like butter through my facial hair so I am a happy customer. First time I’m experiencing this so it’s quite the joyful thing to do in the morning, not a chore at all like with my previous shaver

I’ve used a number of shavers and beard trimmers for many years. Most have a short battery life and little power. This shaver and beard trimmer, though, packs a punch. It has long battery life when charged, and has a vigorous cut to get through a thick beard. It is by far the best beard trimmer I’ve used in over 20 years… at a very economical price, too. My only issue thus far has been experimenting with attachments to get the proper cutting depth. The attachments are not as well-marked as other shavers. But that’s my only issue, and it’s a minor one for me. Great purchase.

Really a very nice trimmer. I’ve had 3 different trimmers before and none of them have operated as smoothly, or cut as cleanly, as this one does. A little small in the hands, but no biggie.
My one and chief complaint is that it doesn’t come with longer guards. I think the longest is 16mm which is a bit shorter than I like to keep my beard. But they make it clear what’s included in the kit, so I can’t knock them for that.
Overall, I’d recommend it for a budget multi-purpose trimmer.

It works great. I was somewhat baffled by one thing though. I used it for maybe four months before I needed to charge it. When I did, I put it on the charger for 48 hours; then it went out again after using it again for a few days. I thought something was wrong and planned to return it. Then I put it on the charger again for several hours and it worked again. Why did it work for three or four months without recharging after I first started using it? I guess I’ll just leave it on the charger all the time until I need to use it. Other than that, the design is really good; a big improvement on the previous Norelco/Phillips model that served me well for about 12 years.

Excellent tool. Lightweight and comfortable to hold. BEWARE!! Hair trimmer (brown plastic guards) function like all other trimmers (ie. the taller the guard the longer your hair). If you elect to use the gray beard trimmer because you want a tighter haircut the wider/taller guard will cut off nearly all your hair. I am talking like ‘000’ close. Found that out the hard way. But I couldn’t help but be impressed by how clean a cut it gave me.

I have used razor combs previously for cutting my own hair with limited success. This clipper with its assortment of guides did an exceptional job on my hair the first time I used it. I do not use it for beards, but I have always wondered how guys keep that unshaven look that is so common and, in my opinion, ugly. But, if that is what you want, this is the tool to get that 5-day old unshaven look that is so popular with today’s “in” crowd. I can imagine that it would do a good job grooming a classical beard too, but that is only my thought.

When I first got this trimmer I did not know how much of a battery charge it had but I just turned it on and by the time I tried out all the attachments found the one I wanted to use then not only did I trim my beard I also had my wife cut my hair with it. I only purchased because I lost a bladehead on a different model and I saw this would come quickly and cheaply. It works well not the strongest motor or battery life but it’s less than $20. But great brand, decent, quality and enough tools the get the job done on your head, face, or body. Especially if razors freak you out like myself. No razor bumps or major skin irritation either. Buy it then try the higher models when this one gives out.

These are hands down the best clippers i have ever owned, granted i never spent over 60$ on a pair, i have owned a lot of clippers. These are so smooth and cut so close without nicking yourself. It is really amazing how well these work without oiling the blades, i have read some reviews of these clippers turning themselves on and the switch failing and what not, i really don’t care about that, because for the price if that happens i will deff buy a new one because of how well they work, 10/10 recommend

I like this groomer. It cuts cleanly and doesn’t require a lot of passes or “scrubbing” to get the strays when you’re doing beard work. It’s uncomfortably loud for grooming in the ears, but other than that it’s top notch. As long as the batter and blades hold up over time it should prove to be a great value.

I had a philips trimmer previous to this one, which stopped holding a charge after about 2 years of weekly use. This one, so far, has held a charge for around 1 month of use, and I still have not had to charge it after initially opening the package. The only complaint I have is the standard close-shave head is a bit loose in the body of the trimmer, so when I am tapping out my hair the top sometimes pops out. When in use, though, there is no wobble or movement. This trimmer is extremely good for the price point and gets the job done. The shave isnt as close as a regular razor, but I personally keep my facial hair and hate cutting it short. So if thats you, this razor is a good fit.

My husband loves this trimmer. The selection of attachments allows him to trim his beard to the length he wants – shorter in summer and longer for his outdoor sports activities in winter (hunting/ice fishing). Being narrower than a regular shaver, he can easily trim around his nose, lips, ears.

Works fantastic at a dirt cheap price point. Very happy with it. It has lots of attachments. You should be able to groom anything on your melon with this thing. I haven’t had it very long so as far as any longevity insight I can’t help you. But so far this thing is great

The only downsides are that the motor is louder than I expected (esp while near the ear) and the start/stop button is on the back rather than the underside where your thumb goes, making the ergonomics less than ideal. Given the price and functionality though, I give it a pass.

First, I can’t speak to battery life, so gave it a 5. I’ve shaved once with this razor, and that’s it.
Second, I hate shaving, so I shave roughly every 3 weeks-ish. Luckily, looking scruffy on my job is not a problem.
As to the shave itself, the cons were that it’s easier to poke yourself with this guy than with the $60 version. The attachments seem cheaper, though they work fine aside from the poking. BTW, if you’re careful about the angle you hold the razor at while shaving, it gets much less pokey.
The pros are that you get a great shave, without the head getting clogged with whiskers, and less going over areas more than once. My old razor, the $60 variant, was several years old, but I had to revisit my neck more than once to make sure I cut the longer whiskers. This guy did it in one pass.
So, for $20, this is a great deal and it works. This would be a great first kit, or 51st kit, imho, though it doesn’t look very flashy. The bag for the kit looks especially cheap. But it works well.
