There is no temperature control, but it’s perfect when heated up. I find it easy to clean. I put wet paper towels on the plate, close it, then open & wipe. Usually needs more wet towels to finish it. I can get 3 hamburgers on it at a time. Those must have been sliders in the promo pic. It’s great for us as 2 hamburgers are all we need. I haven’t tried chicken yet. I made a ham slice that was excellent. I like that food can be cooked from frozen successfully. Grease collects in the little cup. I’m hoping to lose a few pounds.

I purchased this because honestly I’m a single mom and don’t feel like standing at a hot grill forever! This little grill is AMAZING!! the day it came in I went and bought 7 steaks (ribeye) I was able to cook 2 at a time and it only took about 5 minutes to cook! Which they were cooked a little too long because I like mine a little more pink. But I will learn the more I use it! Buy buy buy it!!!! Don’t spend all that un-necessary money when this is all you need!

Love this grill. I’ve cooked chicken, pork chop’s, burgers and steak. Food is delicious. I brush the grill plates with a little coconut oil while it’s heating. After I pull off the food, I put 2 wet paper towels on the grill plates and close lid. Turn off and by the time we are done eating I can wipe it clean.

Really easy. Plug it in, wait to warm up, put your burgers on, grill to liking. If you let it cool all the way (or overnight), it’s not super easy to clean – so I clean it when it’s still warm.

Love it! I can use this grill to cook just about anything, from veggies to filets. Makes a mean grilled cheese sandwich, too. The only drawback is that the electric cord is too short, so I had to buy an extension.

My wife bought it. I was skeptical about it. But it cooked great! Then came cleaning. The plates DON’T REMOVE!? How did anyone ever think that was a good idea. Been dealing with it. Tonight, I noticed the black plastic piece on the front was loose. I tried to see if it was a tab or something or if it was supposed to come off. Whole thing broke off, slipped out of my hand, hit the floor, and exploded. Pretty disappointed.

I prefer my previous Hamilton Beach unit that lasted for years before the non-stick coating started to peel so I replaced it. The lid is behind the base too far when open so cleaning drops stuff behind the grill. The grooves are harder to clean than previous models. I didn’t want to mess with the return, but I should have. I don’t recommend this unit but it’s ok.

Grill works nice and is easy to clean, but I guess the burgers in the picture are small or the burgers I normally eat are big, because I can’t fit 6 burgers on it, only 4. It isn’t a complete turn-off for me though, I still really like the grill.

After the 2nd use, a tiny screw holding the heating plate to the grill top came loose. Couldn’t find it. The top is now hanging on by one other tiny screw. Grilled well, but it’s unusable now.

Purchased it to cook sausage and hot dogs on, you can’t take the cooking surface off to clean and you sure can’t submerge them. There is also no switch so if you plug it in it’s on! I am trashing it! Would not recommend it to anyone!

My steaks did not taste like they would off a grill. I didn’t like the taste. And the clean up was not easy. The heat trays are not detachable, so getting to every nook and cranny with burned grease was difficult.

Doesn’t grill very evenly but you can always turn the meat around…
Spray white vinegar and wipe with paper towel to clean.

WE have a Hamilton Beach Steak Lovers searing grill with top and bottom grids, searing, temp control, but it is NOT easy to clean. Wipe with a damp paper towel is more like spend 45 minutes or so wiping with multiple damp paper towels. So we got this one because easy to clean was repeated so many times in the listing. I misread it as having removable grid plates.
Pros: lightweight, stands in cabinet sideways, doesn’t take up much room, heats up quickly and cooks well.
Cons: Grill plates are NOT removeable, cleaning takes a LONG time with many changes of damp paper towels, no temp control, not slanted toward the drip container so a lot of fat stays on the grill.
We will stick with the first one.

I had high hopes for this unit as I lost my drip tray to my old George Foreman.
Purchasing this unit was a mistake. The temperature isn’t even CLOSE to even from edge to edge. I’m including a picture of burgers I’m cooking the first time I used the unit.
The middle is burnt and the edges on the left and right are still raw.
To say I am disappointed would be an understatement.
