I liked several qualities of the Hamilton Beach 4 in 1 electric grill.
1. The thermostat control
2. The easy to clean, removable grill plates
3. Time saving cooking
4. The compacted design and easy storage when not in use.
I have one suggestion… I had an older HB grill I purchased many years ago which had both a thermostat and a dialed timer when it burned out I wanted another HB so I purchased this one. I was disappointed this newer grill did not have a dialed timer. I hope a newer HB 4 in 1 grill will include a timer. One more suggestion: a longer power cord.

Hamburgers and chicken brest turn out great .

Just got it in and tried it out with steak. Wow, the steaks turned out perfect. I really love how you can use both sides. Cooked hamburgers today, with cheese., perfect results. Clean up was super simple and easy. The only con I can find was there is no on/off button.

Not at all what I was hoping for. Awkward, difficult to use, messy!

I compared this to a George Forman grill that was “ok”. I hoped for something better than G Forman offered for far too much $. As far as indoor grills, I really like the overall concept of the Hamilton Beach 4 in 1 multi grill. Being able to use both sides at once is the reason i bought it. I really like the push button release of the plates, instead of tabs. The plates are secure when in use, and don’t fall off when you open the grill. The temperature controls are easy to use, specifying the optimal setting for bacon. I’ve used the grill once, and was pretty satisfied. The only complaint I have is the cord. Its WAY too short to allow me to use both sides at once, and I’m leary about using an extention cord. I recommend this product, but make sure you have a lot of room to use both sides, with a dedicated outlet very close by, before buying.

My son lives in a studio apt. Loves this grill!
He even through some onion rings on grill and closed the lid. 2 minutes later, they were purfect, with no smoke in his house!
Definitely would reccomend!

Hot links
Steaks
Grilled cheese

This is a fantastic item. Holds temperature and easy to operate. I use it almost every day

So when I received this griddle I was a little surprised at the size. It?? hefty and a decent size. Very well built and should last. It has a great design for liquid run off on both grills. Non-stick surface, cleans well and is versatile with the extra plate. If there is a down side it?? the temperature control. Only one control that handles both sides. I noticed that my first attempt, being pancakes, were coming out different shades. I finally checked each side with a thermometer and they were 30 degrees apart. Just something to keep in mind and to adjust for. Otherwise I?? very happy with this griddle and would recommend it.

Great multi-use griddle for eggs, pancakes. We tried making burgers and couldn?? get the outside dark and inside pink. They were evenly gray-brown all the way through. If you like your burger that way then great!

Small NYC apartment give so little space with closet size kitchen, no counter space, minibus stove. Have been considering something like this for some time but didn’t want to spend money I would regret. Had gotten used to ordering takeout or delivery. I am SO glad I finally ordered one. Researched a lot! I do have to store this when not using but once it cools down, it safely gets stowed. My first attempt at making a quesadilla was a bomb and thought I made a mistake. But with trial and error, have now mastered quesadillas, grilled sandwiches. Next up will be attempts at burgers and salmon, but have to wait for next budget. You will not regret this purchase. I do see others complain about it being on once you plug it in as a downside. However, after knowing the fire risk of leaving items plugged in still as fire hazard (especially in NYC with so many things plugged into extension cords!) I am more than happy to know I HAVE to unplug it. It has a temperature control which made me opt for this one and has helped making the various things you can cook with this. Love it!!

Bulky and heavy, almost too discouraging to take out!
Pat Anderson –
Very good appliance but I miss the timer that was on my previous Hamilton Beach grill
Lynchester –
Love the drip pan. It’s easy to remove and clean. Pancakes and grilled cheese cook great on this griddle. Nothing sticks as long as you keep the plates oiled. Also easy to clean.
Rick H –
Simple set up & operation. Cooks quickly with super easy clean up. Much better than George Foreman models used prior. Highly recommend this unit!
Dorothy Ludwick –
Works great. Love the versatility of cooking you can do on it. Cleans up easily. Food tastes great
Bryan guarnizo –

Wendy Kraemer –
Easy to use. Easy to clean. Works well. Able to
Grill inside when it?? too cold outside.
Brian penrose –
Like the temperature for cooking
Carrie Sutton –
This thing is amazing. Between this and my air fryer, dinner is done at the same time and everything is served hot ??
Shawn Pankratz –
Everything works well. My only complaint is it drains the grease but not as well as a Gorge Forman so you will have some grease cooking your food.
Ollie –
For the price, its just good. Removable plates are a god send.
Temperature control? Top plate is usually 75 degrees cooler. Bottom plate is usually spot on, ive tested with an IR thermometer on every use. Is this a con? Not really. I have to look at the money spent and compare it to much higher end units around the $150 mark. The only downside is temperature matching on the top plate. It still absolutely works for every application I use it for. I dont need my eggs to be dropped on a 400 degree skillet, otherwise they’ll shrivel and blacken in 5 seconds. The top plate stays at a comfortable 325 in all my testing.
Great budget instrument. Hard to find any cons here for the money.

I’ve had the same grill for about 30 years. Finally gave up the ghost. Bought this to replace it. Part of my complaint (not really a complaint) is simply the size difference between this grill and my old one. This grill is quite large/thick. It stands very tall. I store it in a cabinet when not in use and it is quite hefty and bulky.
But….it functions great. I mostly use it for pancakes-used flat with both flat grills. It heats quickly and evenly. I also grill sandwiches with thick crusty bread. I like that the hinge is flexible and will rock slightly to accommodate the thickness of the sandwich. It has a marked (in degrees F) temperature control I like too. I haven’t used it for bacon, but it has a ridged grill tray for bacon with a drip pan to catch the grease. It’s super easy to wipe clean. It does everything I need it to do.

I bought this to make cleanup easier for making fried eggs and grilled sandwiches. It meets thats need and cleanup is great. What I don’t love about it is there is no way to control the temp separately on the two surfaces. Also since there isn’t a power button, you have to unplug it to turn it off. For me that means reaching round the top hot plate. I knocked a star for that as I can see someone could easily burn yourself when you have to unplug it. Love everything else about it and it meets the need for which I purchased it for
CLARE –
It’s great for using the griddle for eggs etc and the bacon option is great too. Unfortunately, the grill option not so much which is the main reason we got it. Temp doesn’t really get hit enough for steaks n chicken:-(
morgans –
The grill is very short so prefer that it be much taller. Like that the top is attached and easy to open when checking meat.
Nice and easy set up and easy to clean
BAdams –
I really liked this device and used it several times a week for everything from heating tortillas to grilling chicken and other meats. Then after only 5 months, it just died. The light went out while I was using it. I let it cool off, made tried several other plugs, but it was just dead. Disappointing and unexpected from a well-known brand.

No on off switch

I have absolutely nothing good to say about this grill. It is a waste of money.
Rita K. Fieldman –
Easy to use and I like the feature of the removable grill plates. I clean them by hand and they are very easy to clean.

Es algo robusto. Las bisagras son muy inestables , Hace tambaleos al momento de utilizarlo . Calienta super bien y es facil de limpiar
Sylenia –
I really thought I could use it for more than burgers and bacon 🙁 I misread but nevertheless it functions as it says. I do like the double side.
Paula –
Was a gift, she liked it a lot, for daily use!
Paul Jennings –
None
Rosie –
I use mostly for cooking bacon, but have used for sandwiches. Does a good job with both

When we finally opened the box Saturday to use the griddle we found the handle was broken. How do we return it or exchange? The packaging was not damaged!
Ben Buss –
Really like it. Definite upgrade from my old George Foreman. Also love how the removable plates are dishwasher safe. I do wish there was a 4th plate so you could have a grill plate in top and bottom, but not a huge issue. Also still need to find a better storage place for the bottom griddle plate when not in use but again, not a huge issue.
