I needed an iron to occasionally iron uniforms and some other stuff here and there. This iron is amazing, and I think I’d still use this specific one if I had to iron a lot more frequently. It has plenty of settings for different heat/steam intervals, and works so well on nearly anything. Its super light and small which allows me to store it on a small shelf above my dryer with ease. I honestly love it.

I bought this over a year ago and don’t use it very frequently. Mainly for sewing projects, which I don’t do often. It worked fine for a while, but when using for a longer period of time, it stops working at times. I can’t tell if it’s overheating or has (auto)turned off, there’s no indicator to let me know what’s going on. I shake it around to wake it up, sometimes this works. Usually I unplug it and plug it back in again and then it starts working again. It’s inexpensive and easy to use, so I am rating it on that. If you’re just using it for a shirt or pants, normal ironing, it’s probably great. For durability/longevity or bigger projects, I’d rate it much lower, probably 2 stars for that.

Bought this for mask making. Absolutely perfect. Uses tap water, came quickly, shuts down after not being used for 8 minutes and heats up quickly once you pick it up again. I would suggest you empty the water out after each use. If you leave the water in, chances are your next ironing job will include rust stains.

So, I’ve had this iron for more than a year and after bruning myself (again) I’ve come to the conclusion that I just need a new one. But for those who are more agile than me, this isn’t a bad choice.
Pros:

I only used it today for the first time since I purchased it. I am very old school when it comes to ironing, that is, I don’t much like to use the water tank/steaming function and prefer to use it with dry heat and sprinkle the garments myself to get the creases out. I tried it on a mixed fiber sweater with the prescribed heat and got the job done. So, barring unforeseen circumstances, I guess I will be using this iron for a long time. Plus the color scheme goes with everything in my kitchen/living room! Not that this matters, but it’s an added bonus….

My daughter had an older B&D Light & Easy and I fell in love with it. It was bought back in 2005. So I found the closest model I could to hers and bought this one. Not impressed! While it is lightweight, the soleplate seems to stick to any kind of fabric. And it doesn’t have a steam button which is vital in my small sewing business. I do not like leaving negative comments; but, thought I needed to.

There seems to be a pretty large gap between the rear of the sole plate and the plastic housing. I can see wires and electronic connectors through this gap. It seem that water could easily get in. See pictures 2 and 3. Does anyone else see this? Is it a manufacturing defect? I’ve used the iron a few times, but my wife just noticed this today.

This is the first iron that I have ever owned and I am quite pleased. I remember back in the day my mom would always worry that she left the irpn plugged in after she had already left the house. Well that is no longer an issue as this iron hibernates or stops heating when the iron is inactive for 8 minutes. Not sure if that is a standard feature on irons these days, but I was stoked. Highly reccomended.

I bought this iron for my perler bead projects. It is light weight and beats ups fast but seems to have too many safety features for my use. If it gets too hot I have to tilt it so it registers I’m still using it. Then as I’m using it it cools down and I have to wait for it to reheat. The iron is great overall but I need more consistent heat for what I’m using it for. I have not used on clothes but can see it being great!

I recently started sewing doll clothes. I wanted a smaller, lightweight iron that heats up very fast. This one is perfect for my projects. If I need to.press a seam it heats up very hot in a minute. If it is too hot and I turn it down to a lower setting it cools down to that temp very fast. It also shuts off automatically and it takes plain water. This is a great buy and I love the aqua color.

I hate to iron and avoid it at all costs. However, there always comes a time when we must. This was a low cost iron that works well, it does the job. My only concern is the cord, I take care to wrap it like it was when first opened. I can already see twists in the cord. That will not effect the performance but makes it harder to maneuver.

Instead it arrived in the black and decker packaging with a slapped on label. Nevertheless the iron seems to work well…the plate can sometimes grab the fabric but as I use it for steam ironing only,the grabbing isn?? an issue.
I previously purchased a much more expensive iron which dripped and didn?? stay hot long enough which I returned..so… I can recommend this iron for easy ironing at a good price.

My dear mother taught me to use a separate spray bottle instead of putting water in your iron. Water in your iron will create deposits that will drop as stains unless you use distilled water, and I don’t have time for that. Even so, you still somehow get deposits with distilled.
Once I started making enough money that I also needed to iron my shirts, I realized that I was too slow and it was more efficient to pay someone a few bucks to launder and press my shirts. So then I started using my iron for waxing my skis and snowboards.
Fast forward to today. I ended up needing to patch some clothes, so this iron and the patch was cheaper than going to a tailor/alterations.
The iron is nice and light, has great heat, and as good as the irons of 20-30 years ago. I’ll likely use it for touch up presses as needed.
And I already used it to remelt the glue on a failed book binding too.

I like that this is smaller and lighter weight–the heat levels seems on par with my old iron. My big gripe is that the handle is clearly not made for a woman’s smaller hands, as with many things. Still, it’s at least lighter which I needed.
