I got this as a promo deal so it came with my Govee Smart Heater and this device is really nice! Its accurate and the software for it is excellent! Paired with a smart heater this device tells the heater exactly when to shut off when the desired temperature is reached.

This is my second Govee thermometer/hygrometer. The first unit has been working well for about 6 months. It is used to monitor humidity in a guitar case.
The new unit was placed in the same guitar case, alongside the original meter. The new meter shows a 6% difference in humidity when compared to the original meter. Both meters are being compared to a known accurate hygrometer.
I have contacted the seller. I’ll let you know how they handle the problem.

My only complaint would be their choice to show a random temperature when you open the app. What is shown is “78.4” , but that is just the opening page of the app., not your actual temperature. It takes a few seconds to show the actual reading. I think the opening page should show a “0” , so it would be more clear that it is not your actual temperature just yet.

Works well. You can adjust for accuracy which is nice. Blue tooth only so you’ll have a max distance from phone.

I bought this device to monitor the temperature in an old seller. It was easy to set up in minutes, easy to hang up with the provided loop. Been monitoring my basement now for two weeks and it’s been extremely helpful. It will help keep my pipes from freezing!

I use this for my New-Air humidor to be certain my cigars are at the proper humidity and temperature levels.
So for very good, quick to sync to the app on the phone and you can set notifications should something go wrong and the temp/humidity go the wrong directions.

Easy setup, easy App download and BlueTooth connection on an Iphone 7 . The App is pretty simple BUT the Font is Very Small . Maybe your milage will vary. The device is monitoring electronic and optical equipment that is outside in the fog. I did not test the maximum range.

Have it in my Baby’s room. Temp has spiked in there numerous times during the night. It never alerts me correctly and I have to force it to update. This thing is useless and Dangerous to rely on.

Purchased on May 17, 2021. It stopped connecting to my app. Not even a year of use. I replaced the batteries as well.

I was surprised by the accuracy of this product at the price offered. I don’t normally use a hygrometer after all the bad experiences trying to calibrate them. I bought three and placed them in an airtight food storage container with a 69% Boveda pack. After 24 hours all three were showing 69% +/_ 0.4%. I expected the usual 3 to 5% variable. I chose the Bluetooth style and use my tablet. Very easy to see the hourly fluctuation in the memory if you care to. There is an alarm setting for both temperature and RH range preferred. I’d suggest not setting the alarm until after this device has been in use for at least a day or two to avoid alarms until the device has adjusted to its environment. I’m not an OCD person when it comes to my cigars since I rely on Boveda packs and Tupperdors. If you need to check your cigar stash more often than occasionally, the wifi version for a few bucks more may be the right choice for you.

Advertised as calibrated , suspected it wasn’t. Reached out to Govee. Told I don’t need to calibrate. So I checked it. It was off by 4 degrees. That’s a lot when using it in an incubator. Not impressed. I won’t buy again and will now need to test the hydrometer accuracy. As I’m sure that’s not right either.

in your hen’s coop before you go to bed you might as well walk on out there in the cold winter’s night and see for your dang self bc this stupid Govee app that works with the GOVEE hygrometer is A SOMETIMEY persnickety gizmo. Ugh.

I bought this on a whim — it seemed like it could be a useful tool. And while the readings seem reasonable at room temperature, it’s beyond worthless at lower temperatures. I was having problems with my fridge, so I figured this gadget would be just what I needed to track temperature and humidity. Unfortunately it says my fridge is -19degF. Hah!! Take it out of the fridge and it reads reasonable temps again. Sigh. Looks like you get what you pay for.
